History of Team Rankine Karate
Where we started
Sensei Michael, originally from Penzance in Cornwall started his karate journey at the age of 12. Acheiving his 1st Dan at 14 and 2nd Dan at 16, he then went on to open his own Dojo in Cornwall. With being so young at grading days, Sensei Michael had to enlist the help of other senior instructors from Bujinkai Karate Association to grade his students. After many years success at the age of 20 Sensei Michael relocated to Leicester, and in 2017 he took the leap and opened the doors of his very own Dojo in Wigston. Team Rankine Karate was born
Our Dojo
The Dojo is the training room for karate and at Team Rankine karate, we are in a unique position to offer a state-of-the-art Diamond Dojo that has been used by the national England karate team. This is a dedicated karate facility with mats, private changing rooms, punch bags, mirrored walls, a full range of bespoke training equipment and toilets.
